On your arrival at the Velasco Astete Airport Cuzco, a representative from our tour Agency and our Native Guide are going to meet you, then you will be taken towards your Hotel, the rest of the day you are free for a short rest to be acclimatized to the altitude Andean mountains or you might explore some places like: Cuzco center, the 12 angles stone, the Market of San Pedro, San Blas neighborhood (Coca Tea it is ideal against the altitude sickness called “Soroche”).

The Sacred Valley of the Incas

We do our tour at 8 am, thus it is much better to enjoy this day because we will be starting early from another groups to enjoy much better our Day Tour.

The Excursion “Sacred Valley” is a succession of picturesque towns. Our first stop is the lookout of Taray; ideal place to observe and recognize the Inca valley with its sacred mountains. Then we have the Incan place called Pisac.

Pisac has a fine art works made of stones with an impressive agricultural terracing system all over the mountain. Today we have a unique experience using some of the interconnected Inca trails (Moderate walk); getting towards the Intiwatana (Inca God deities & altars), watchtowers, the Inca cemetery, lookouts of the whole Sacred Valley & an Inca terracing system of farming; passing and using some Inca tunnels.

After visiting Pisac, we have the other Pisac (the colonial Pisac village) we have the chance & the opportunity to bargain with vendors or stroll at the Pisac’s typical Indian market for about one hour (optional).

In the afternoon we pass through Calca and Urubamba towns (one hour by transport), at Urubamba we provide you an Andean lunch. Then we have Ollantaytambo Park, the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, which was built to guard the entry of this part of the Andes valley and protect it from enemies of the lower jungles, consisting in a series of superimposed terraces of carved stones accessed by long staircases. We will have the opportunity to walk through the quaint streets of the nearby town, religious and agricultural center during the Inca Empire, and get a clear idea of the military strategy against possible invasions. Also we can observe an amazing rock shape formation representing to an Inca God “Viracocha “(a giant figure on Pinkuylluna mountain ) another important sites around Ollantaytambo are the sun temple, the Andean terracing system, the Inca fountain that it is still running fresh water and the nice Inca Princess fountain shaped with the Andean holy Cross Called Chakana.

At Ollantaytambo is the Train station; during the afternoon we have to board the train service to Aguas Calientes Village also known as Machupicchu pueblo (1 hour and forty minutes by Train).

Machu Picchu also known as “The Lost City of the Incas”

Very early in the morning; we have to board the Touristic shared bus towards Machu Picchu (a 30-minute bus drive, climbing 6km of winding road,). The Guide tour begins at the natural viewpoint of the Casa del Vigilante (Inca Guard house). Place where you will be having the best views of Machu Picchu in all its glory. The guided tour takes three hours visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds, after all the explanation you have a free time to stroll around some Inca places at your leisure.

Later on; back to Aguas Calientes village to board our train service to Ollantaytambo and then transfer to the Hotel at Cuzco City (1 hour and forty minutes by train & 1 hour and forty minutes by transport).
